Implementation in local corporate network infrastructure

SAVERNOVA Network ID is a client-server application with its own management console. The console with the associated SQL database and a service are installed on a Windows Domain Controller.

Users are taken over from the Active Directory. In the management console, the administrator determines the security level for each user individually or in groups. Each active user, together with his password card and his secret reading method is stored in encrypted form in the SQL database. No information on this is stored in the Active Directory nor is the Active Directory augmented.

How does it work?

Step 1: The user activates his own unique password card and defines his secret reading method. This user data and the virtual copy of the card is encrypted and safed by SAVERNOVA Network ID. This data is not accessible to the administrator.

Step 2: At each login to the network, the user is assigned a start point on his password card. From this point on he is required to use his reading method. Immediatelly after typing the password from the assigned start point, the correct and only possible password is deposited in Active Directory and the user is registered.

Companies today protect themselves very well against external threats. However, many are not aware that around 70% of the attacks are carried out by their own employees.

Savernova Network ID 3.2 also manages secure network access for employees working off the company premises.
